Yesterday was a very sad day for balletomanes everywhere, yesterday marked the death of Maya Plisetskaya, the Bolshoi Ballet’s Prima Ballerina. Maya was one of the most gifted artists to ever grace the stage, a true virtuoso performer that could dance any and every role. It feels unreal to me that she has passed away, one of my idols, that I will never be able to meet… Below is a video of Maya in Raymonda. Enjoy, and RIP Maya Plisetskaya.
